Snoot happily re-homed...

Hi Trish,
We thought you would like to know how Snoot is going on, and attach 3 photos showing how he and Enzo have gradually become great friends.  The one where they are on leads is the first day together.

When we last spoke on the phone they were still having arguments, but you put my mind at rest when you reminded me that they have plenty of weapons in the shape of teeth and claws, and since they didn't seem to be attempting to draw blood we could relax and wait for them to sort things out!
For some time they got on OK. but slept in different places, until one day Snoot dared to venture up the ramp leading to Enzo's hammock high up in their adventure playground' and snuggled in for a snooze in the sunshine. Imagine Enzo's expression when he arrived up there for a peaceful afternoon nap. He wasn't giving up his favourite spot that easily, so he just climbed in on top of Snoot, and from that moment they have become firm friends.

Enzo has shown Snoot all the interesting places to roam in the house, and shares his toys, most of the time!  In return Snoot allows Enzo to play with his beloved toy which you gave him.

They have been for their first car ride together this weekend, starting in their box, but soon being allowed out to sit with me and Olivia. They thoroughly enjoyed themselves and didn't squabble and distract John, who was driving!

Their favourite occupation at the moment is helping in the vegetable plot. I sow the seeds, and they dig them up...

Our fox terrier, Basil, is obsessed with them. He has spent many happy hours watching Enzo playing in his run, but is eyes were out on stalks the first time he saw two - he thought he had got double vision!
I'm sure you will agree that Snoot is a very lucky ferret to have landed in a home with so many friends around him. He is so lovable, being both playful and cuddly, and we couldn't have found a better companion for Enzo.

Thank you for all your help and advice, and for all the time you spent with us when we brought Enzo to your house (and for washing the kitchen floor before we arrived!!). We hope to see you on the show circuit this summer.

Best wishes from me, John and Olivia AND Enzo and Snoot,
Sally

PS. You should have seen them playing in our kitchen this afternoon. All you need is 4 carrier bags and a shoe box with tissue paper inside for two ferrets to play 'spooks' until dropping asleep simultaneously in the dog's bed. Your quiet little Snoot is an equal match at the Weasel War Dance for Enzo now -you would have been in tears if you saw them!

Note from Andy:
Snoot came to us in January 2010 and was not very well, he had a large untreated abscess on his neck which must have been very painful. He had it lanced at the vet and over the next couple of months it healed well - now you cannot see where it was.

Through all this he was an absolute gentleman - never biting or complaining, always loving to play with his favourite cat toy. We are overjoyed that he has found a loving forever home, and wish Snoot and Enzo a long and happy life with Sally and her family.
